For Creators
How do I get paid?
Once you submit a YouTube video to a campaign and it's verified, you get paid automatically when the campaign deadline passes. Your share is based on your engagement — likes or comments — relative to other creators in the same campaign. Payment arrives automatically.
What counts as verified content?
Your video must be posted from your connected YouTube channel, include the required hashtag in the title or description, and mention the brand name. Dala's technology verifies this automatically — no manual review needed.
How do I connect my YouTube channel?
Go to your Profile page and tap 'Connect YouTube'. You'll be asked to sign in with Google. We only read your channel information — we never post on your behalf.
Can I submit to multiple campaigns?
Yes. You can submit to as many open campaigns as you want, as long as each submission is a unique video from your connected channel.
When does the money arrive?
Payouts happen automatically when the campaign deadline passes. You'll see the amount appear in your Dala wallet.
For Brands
How does a campaign work?
Set a budget, define your requirements (hashtag, brand mention, and any extras), choose what metric you want to reward (likes or brand comments), and set a deadline. Dala verifies every submission automatically. At the deadline, your budget is split among verified creators based on performance.
What if no creators qualify?
If no submissions pass verification by the deadline, your full budget is refunded automatically — no questions asked.
Can I cancel a campaign early?
Yes. You can cancel at any time and your remaining budget is refunded. Any creators who were already verified before the cancellation are still paid.
How is the budget split between creators?
Based on whichever metric you chose when creating the campaign — either likes or comments mentioning your brand. The creator who drove 60% of total activity gets 60% of the budget.
What is the platform fee?
Dala charges 6% of the campaign budget, deducted automatically at payout. There's no fee on refunds.
Technical Details
How is my money protected?
Brand budgets are secured by our technology — not held by Dala. Funds only move when the work is verified. No human can touch the money in between. For the technically curious: this is powered by a smart contract on the Base blockchain.
Why Base?
Base is a fast, low-cost network built by Coinbase. Transactions cost less than R0.01. It's what makes instant, automatic payouts possible at this price point.
What currency are payouts in?
